    06/23/2022 PROGRAMMER/ANALYST – FVEC
    The Programmer/Analyst assists with programming and operations of the district's Finance/HR and Student Information Systems. The Programmer Analyst will define, develop, test, analyze, and maintain new software applications. This includes writing, coding, testing, and analyzing software programs and applications. The Programmer Analyst will also research, design, document, and modify software specifications. The Programmer/Analyst will support the Finance/HR and Student Information System, along with creating and modifying User Defined and customized reports.
    SPECIFIC DUTIES:
    1. Assists in and carries out the development of efficient logic and code to complete varied programming assignments.
    2. Recommend, schedule, and perform software improvements and upgrades.
    3. Write programming scripts to enhance functionality and performance of information management and student information applications as necessary.
    4. An expert in relational database applications including Student Information Systems, Microsoft SQL and other district database applications.
    5. Compiles, tests, debugs, and documents previously developed or existing source programs.
    6. Analyze and assess existing information management systems and procedures.
    7. Develop customized reports and coordinate testing, implementation, and documentation.
    8. Act as a backup to other Technology Services staff.
    9. Organizes and manages the Data Warehouse.
    10.Collaborates with district and building leadership to ensure equity is infused in practice and remains at the forefront of efforts to disrupt inequities
    11. Performs other tasks assigned by the Director of Technology Services and the Information Management Supervisor.QUALIFICATIONS:
    • Associate Degree, Technical School training, or equivalent related experience.
    • Demonstrated ability to handle administrative responsibilities.
    • Communicate effectively with staff, students, and community members.
    • Demonstrated ability in planning and organizational skills
    • An expert in relational database applications including Student Information Systems, Microsoft SQL and other district database applications.
    • Experience with Microsoft SQL Server Reporting Services
    • Experience with Microsoft Internet Information Services
    • Experience with ASP.NET and C# programming languages
    • Knowledge of computer applications.
    LENGTH OF CONTRACT: Full-Year Assignment
    EFFECTIVE DATE OF APPOINTMENT: July 1, 2022
